Questions
- Where is my data? Your airports are saved on your phone and synced to your account, so they're safe if you lose your connection. The account itself lives on your phone: uninstalling the app or losing your phone loses your account. Export your airports from Profile → Export airports to keep a copy.
- How does a check-in work? Tap Check in on an airport's card while you're there. The app compares your position with the airport's once and doesn't store it. A photo taken at the airport works too: add it from your library, and if it has a location, the app checks it the same way.
- What does Find airports in my photos do? It looks at where and when the photos you've given the app access to were taken, on your phone. You choose which of the airports it finds to verify, and only one photo's position and time per airport is sent, to check it. Your photos aren't uploaded, and you can stop the scan at any time.
- Who can see my photos? Everyone who opens that airport in the app, with your username and flag. To keep a photo to yourself, open it and switch on Only me. Until you choose a username, all your photos are only yours.
- I saw a photo that shouldn't be there. Open it and tap Report. It disappears for you at once, and we review it. You can also block the person who posted it.
- What do All stamps and Verified mean on the boards? Every board can show either. All stamps counts every airport you've collected. Verified counts only the airports you've checked in at, by GPS or with a photo taken there.
- How do I report someone? Tap their name on a global leaderboard, or open a friend's page and choose Block or report. To report a photo, open it and tap Report.
- How do I delete my account? In the app: Profile → Delete account. Without the app: see airporttally.app/delete-account.
